Here’s a little confession: I get butterflies every time I shoot portraits. Doesn’t matter if the subject is a new client, a model I’ve worked with countless times or a close friend or family member. The butterflies always make a fluttering appearance.

Here’s another confession: I take my best photographs when I’m scared. When intimidated, I tend to try new things and take greater risks. And every now and then, I walk away with some images that I’m exceptionally proud of. Here are some portraits favourites.
