Winter is supposedly mild this year, or so the locals say. I’m still just a newcomer, nodding along, thinking that any sign of ice falling from the sky deserves a collective day off. But nope, life goes on as usual in this peculiar place, where a snow storm is no different from a thunder storm back home.

So, on a whim, I decided to take a stroll during my lunch break to soak in some sunlight and crisp air. Bundled up in layers that made me resemble the Michelin Man, I thought, “Let’s just do a quick lap around the block and snap some pics on my shiny new iPhone.”

You see, my old iPhone was getting cranky, so when a deal came knocking, asking for a just few more bucks on my plan, I welcomed the iPhone 15 Pro into my life. And let me tell you, it’s a bit special. I had skipped the last couple of upgrades, and boy, did I feel the upgrade vibes. Sure, this device was fancier and more refined with it’s titanium finish, action button and high refresh rate screen. But the real star? The camera. Man, the camera is kinda sorta special. It’s so good that I no longer feel guilty leaving my ’real’ cameras behind when I venture out.

So, armed with my new gadget, I strutted down Charlton Ave West and captured these moments. Sure, I briefly regretted not springing for the bigger Pro Max with that extra telephoto lens reach, but let’s be real – I like my phones pocket-sized, not tablet-sized. So no regrets here.
